Is 10 views normal for a 65k board?

I recently traded for a 65k board. I posted a recipe on a blogger blog and pinned it.

It got less than 10 views. No repins either. Is this normal? It had a great pic too.

that is quite normal! group boards are more or less dead. If you got a pin with roughly 100 repins (or more) then posting to group boards will still yield some traffic.

Why the repins? because it seemingly heightens the relevancy of the pin and thus it has a higher chance to appear in people's smart feeds. Pining new pins to group boards is, as far as my experience goes, an utter waste of time.

thanks @xinga. how do I get new pins to 100 repins?

Well..you'd need a well-targeted account (meaning followers that care about your niche and pin regularly) and some time. If you follow/unfollow a bit in the process, your first board is only your pins and your account looks legit enough..people will repin eventually. It usually takes 2 months for my pins to hit the barrier. But high pin counts usually only work for broad topics. If you got a couple of accounts you can increase your chances of people seeing your pins.

to be honest I don't know any short cut anymore. Things changed dramatically in the past year. I found that once your pin gets ~100 organic repins, it will get repins indefinitely
