Irrelevant Adsense Ads. How to solve?

I went back to blogging this week. The domain was approved by adsense 5 months ago, but I never used it. Just some articles...
I've already put a lot of traffic on it (over 200,000 - FB traffic).
The problem is that only irrelevant ads appear. My niche is pet and the ads are for generic niche stuff.
I've only seen niche ads once and the RPM tripled, but after those ads are gone, the RPM drops a lot.

Should I be patient and wait or can I do something about it?

Adsense will show relevant ads to visitor based on their cache, interese etc. If the visitor are searching for dog leash, they will see dog leash based ads even if your website talks about food.

When you said that "you see" the ads, its also based on your preferences, not your site. What others see is not what you see.

To increase CPM, try to optimize your targeting to tier 1 country. As for to increase CPC, try using Alt image method, subdomain, and include high cpc keywords (can't remember the whole thing), optimize your ads placement

BTW how is the adsense revenue? Are you making profits? I am looking to start getting traffic via FB.. wonder how it goes.

FB is awesome for adsense.
The trick is: spread your links with the organic method. Identidy what is working and buy ads for those posts.
However, you CPC need to be good, otherwise you'll lose money.

* I'm using anonymous browser to check ads.
 
Did you go into adsense and tailored the category of ads you want?
While you can't remove everything, you can turn a good list of random crap off

He's probably talking about seeing all the ads that got displayed in blocking and review controls
 
Adsense doesnt show ads based on York keywords anymore but it show ads based on your history. Plus, don’t forget about GDPR and CCPA.

P.s. Adsense is crap.
 
Yeah, like others have said, Adsense is showing ads based on your visitors browsing history.

This year they still had "link ad" units which would give amazing CTR and the ads were tailored to the content but of course they had to remove those too.

Wow great idea, so far I've only been thinking of testing with paid ads only. Will try with the organic method, definitely will save some money on testing.

Yeah, for CPC I would suggest going for 0.5 - $1 would be the best.

Use Google keyword planner to find high CPC keyword, create viral topics based on the keyword, and go for it!

(If you are not planning to rank and rely on FB traffic) It doesn't matter if its high KD or not optimized for other SEO related stuff.

well you can also block any irrelevant ad categories too but you find the middle point where it works for your site
