i have been experiencing the same issue on one of my new sites while experimenting with adsense. seems like they just don't display anything even remotely related to the content. makes for an interesting piece that article, will have to check it out and see if it works for me. I'll check back on this thread.

    Home Page:
it may just be your computer.. google remembers what types of sites you visit and displays more targeted ads towards each individual person

for example, i see internet marketing ads everywhere :)

    try this:
    http://www.labnol.org/google-adsense-sandbox/

you can also insert your url into the google keyword tool to see what google really thinks your site is all about

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

I explained this to the OP a couple of days ago in IRC. I saw IM/email marketing ads on his site until I cleared my cookies, signed out of Google and used a proxy to view it. After that, all of the ads were perfectly relevant. I even showed him screenshots - what's up verticall, you don't believe me? :)

+1 for what the hypnotoad said....

for a really surreal experiment, try administering tens of blogs on varying topics, research relevant stuff related to each of them, then look at your @dsense ads and your amazon suggestions....my eyes bleed sometimes.....

Its pissing me off really, I like to see how people peoples banner work! Gives me ideas, in fact Im going to click on that bastard 40 times to see if it finally goes away
