Heya,

Sorry if that thread has been opened before. I've heard that recently ipv4 proxies are better than ipv6 ones, is it true? If it's true like some people tend to say, what are the benefits and the disadvantages?

I don't know about IG and hope someone can enlighten you but as for the IPV6 in general, til this day very few people use it, meanwhile v6 IP addresses are easier to get. Being IG staff I'd get suspected and probably put any user who visits from a V6 address into a sandbox.

IPV6 has it's place however in my professional opinion Instagram is not the place. Go with IPV4 when working with Instagram , you might get some IPV6 to work but you eill have issue after issue.

I have worked with ipv6 for a while and they are pretty tricky, at first they seem reliable but after a while I experiment bans. This has happened at several different occassions. And the cycle repeats

Then you'd have to block around 1/4 of people - https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html
But IPv4 have better trust on IG or 4G

People who say Ipv4 is better than Ipv6 don't know what they're talking about.
Ipv6 was introduced because of Ipv4 exhaustion. But the problem is not all websites have an ipv6 support. You can check out what websites work with ipv6 here : http://ipv6-test.com/validate.php
Instagram is one of them who support ipv6.
Now the problem with ipv6 proxies are, they are cheap AF and most of the sellers are selling already abused proxies which are flagged by instagram. If you manage to find clean ipv6 proxies, I don't see why you should have any problems. If you want to play it safe, find clean ipv4 proxies as they are still relatively easier to find. In any case, you'll have to test multiple providers and burn through multiple accounts before you find working proxies for yourself.

Thanks for the replies guys, until now I've been using ipv6 proxies and ran into some issues sometimes, going to let my ig accounts rest for a bit then I'll give a try to ipv4 proxies.
