I recently started using IPRoyal's royal residential proxies and most of the IPs are cellular because IPRoyal uses pawns(dot)app to source their proxies. Some are even datacenter IPs and customer support mentioned that there's no option to only request residential proxies. I like IPRoyal's customer service and the fact that I can choose the proxy city but this issue has cost me a lot of time and money. I tested out ProxyEmpire and the rotating residential proxies are all real residential IPs and I can pick the city but the cost is a bit higher and the maximum rotation time is 1 hour where as my ideal maximum rotation would be much higher than that. It seems like in the long run I'll need to purchase terabytes of bandwidth and ProxyEmpire doesn't seem like a good fit for this purpose. I'd like to know what your experience is with rotating residential proxies and what platform you'd recommend for my use case. Important factors for me are price (obviously), quality (real residential IPs), customer service, a high maximum rotation time, an easy to use webapp interface. Please let me know if you know a good provider because I'm getting tired of testing different providers out and losing money on low quality proxies. I use them to access Reddit accounts so if anybody can recommend a specific provider that works well with Reddit that would be amazing.

I have use service from IPROYAL.
 
For Reddit you can use Dedicated private proxies from DC as well or Static Residential ones.

Unfortunately it would be too expensive to do that because we're working at a large scale. ProxyEmpire has been great so far but a cheaper alternative would be appreciated if anyone knows of one.
 
Rotating residential proxies are suitable for the account creation process. If you need to maintain accounts, I find it better to use static residential proxies.
Whether you buy by GB or by IP, one thing is for sure, you must test them before buying in large quantities. If the supplier can meet the requirements, then buy from them long-term
 
socks5 wont works for your tasks. because socks5 proxy not support UDP protocol. you need to try Residential VPNs on real users devices like resvpn.net or others. socks5 not works now. they are easy to detect.

those sites works on http/3 QUIC protocol which socks5 not supports. using socks5 you will be asked for more verification, or even banned, because you seems not as regular user.
and it not depends how clear IPs are.
 
If you want low fraud score and a high amount of IPs in the pool, inevitably you'll need to pay a decent amount of money per GB.

I've had business with people who use proxies for reddit and they do use rotating/sticky residential proxies and spend a ton on it per month.

Rule of thumb is - the cheaper the proxies, the more they have been abused in terms of fraud score (in my experience of almost 6 years in proxy business.)

I use proxyempire now, the rotating residential proxies are good but static proxies are not. The one thing i don’t like about them is the stickiness period is less than an hour.
 
You should check out AnyIP.io. That's what I've switched to recently for both residential and mobile proxies and quality is quite good.
 
I liked IPRoyal's option to maintain a sticky IP for up to 24 hours but they would mix in cellular connections in with residential ones which was problematic for me.

I'm just a new customer to Iproyal and expecting the Static would be more than 24 hr

The static is long-term; I was talking about the rotating residential proxies. Depending on your use case, I'd be careful with their static IPs. Sites that have heightened spam detection can detect that you're using a proxy.
 
Like others say you need to pay higher prices for quality. Most providers under $9/GB are going to be similar quality to IPRoyal
