I was given an iphone 7 and am unable to get past the activation page. I've tried all the YouTube 'solutions' but find myself with a nice phone I cannot use aparently. Is there a way to resolve this issue?
That's what I figured . Thank you for your input.ONLY the original owner will be able to take it off. OR personnel from Apple (and they won't unless you can provide them with required details about the instrument). It's basically a useless phone to you now.
Thank you for your response. He doesn't want it back and I have no idea who he got it from so it lays in a drawer . Too bad I must say so I'll hit the first Best Buy next week and see if they want it. Apriciate the inputThere is a way to unlock it in around 10 minutes but since you do not know how your friend got it, I assume no one who knows how to solve it will tell you since the phone is 99% stolen and I personally do not want to be a part of it.
All I can say is that it is possible without the help of Apple and without knowing the password. The thing is, all data will be deleted so even if you would convince me that you will give back the phone, it would not be possible since you would not find any data that would help tracking the previous owner.
I plan on taking it to a store and see if they can do anything with it pertaining to the rightful owner. Ty for your inputMaybe tell your friend to tell their friend to hand it in where they found it, then it can be reunited with its owner.
Ty for your inputIf you want to keep the phone then just format it using iTunes. If you would like to give it to the owner then just go to the Apple store and tell them you found the phone and you would like to return it to the owner. They will take care of everything else...
