There are a lot more phone alternatives for android. For apple.. there's only the iphone..

I need an actual keyboard because I text a lot on my phone. The screen buttons are just ok on an Itouch device and I found the onscreen buttons on my Android a bit worse. I had to install another keyboard on it which works better than the native one but not as well as the Itouch's. I have an Ipod Touch and an HTC Evo Shit. I like having access to twice as many apps.

Try swype for the android. I love it, have been using it for a couple years it feels like now.

If you're going for quality - droid
If you're going for a shiny phone - iphone

Android by far.... better quality and AT&T is the worst network out there. Avoid at all costs.

Android but the carrier you go with makes a big difference.
Vz= 4G LTE 'Droid
Att= mostly 'generic' Androids
T-Mo= started it all
Sprint= Default winner once the Att merger pushes thru (Data)

Iphone is good as compared to android i have HTC desire its battery timing is not good on GPRS :(

I've had both and I much prefer the droid because it has more useful features to me such as driving navigation, hotspot, voice search all already to go at the point you buy the phone. The only think I don't like about it is the battery life sucks. The screen is slightly less responsive than an iphone but it's not bad.

I also think the iphone is so tightly controlled and wound
I think droid is more open and less controlled

I have owned both. Hands down, the Droid is my preference.

Honestly, both of them are the same phone, in essence.

I've had botht he iPhone and Android. Very good phones and to say one is 'better' than the other is foolish, they are practically the same phone.
