iPhone iPhone iPhone...

uh go for any HTC or Samsung or any other... Apple should know that Phone does not only means music and games. ;)... I would say G1 or HTC Hero.. :)

btw I have Samsung Omnia HD

I live on mine, I view BHW on it, have a couple of custom apps for cracking WEP keys to get wifi when out and about. Have a special iphone designed PHP app to run my emailing opteration it KCIKS ASS

I have a VOIP app which works with my Asterisk server so I can get unlmited free calls anywhere in the USA and Canada using my VOIP package even over 3G - screw ATT lol

Iphone ALL the way lol. I'm no apple fan-boy either. I hated the phone at first, I thought it would be way too big. Then I saw it in person, and ever since then loved it. Especially when jailbroken. Theres just SO much it can do, and the ease of use of the phone is UNCOMPARABLE to basically any other 'touch' screen phone. Anyway, this thread seems really old so hope this info isn't useless!

i don't really like iphones. sold mine bc it was so unpractical and now i have a htc diamond. less fancy, but amazingly useful. syncs my agenda, emails, files, everything in a blaze. and you don't have to pay for the basic 2 year warranty if you're in the EU (as they are obliged to provide it by law).

Look I've been using cells since the days of the brick w/carrying case. This iphone is the shyt. I've had mine for about a year and still love it. My lady's went underwater in the dish water and still works fine... Seriously!!

Ready the the cool parts...

Purchased 2- NIB off of CL for 200 each. (2g 8gig)
Unlocked/jail broke etc. (easy)
FTP Access
Find wifi hotspots like whoo....
Free VOIP
Free Texting
Using a T-mobile prepaid sim...lol F&%K ATT
1000's of Free apps DL off torrents. F&*K Apple/itunes
Just to name a few...

I'm no fan of Mac or Apple but this iphone can be tweaked etc. so much, you are like way behind if you don't have one. I run my sites (email etc.) in between rounds of Call Of Duty for FREE. Do that on your "ROID"...

Sent from my iphone
:D

yeah hate iphones too.. what i like in i phones are the games thats all.. poor pic quality.. 5800 has good quality pic than iphone.. and yes i've tried those two..

Iphone is nice, blackberry is nice. I personally wouldnt get either however because EVERYBODY seems to have one or wants one and I dont like having what everyone else has. Bit of a victim of its own success for me. So instead i opted for a Nokia E71 which is better than a blackberry anyway and I will soon be carrying a E72...which is wayyyy better than a blackberry!

NNaa your alright! If you want a phone thats professional and business and better than a blackberry i might add again, the E72 is the way to go. The iphone is for gimmick fans. It is nice though but everyone seems to be pulling one out their pockets where i am....dont like that.

could anyone at least try stating the things that are useful for your business:

a) iphone sucks for syncing your emails and agenda with outlook. thus totally useless

b) cracked iphone firmware is not stable and sometimes contains shareware/freeware

c) battery life sucks hardcore. how can you decently work if your phone dies after 8 h.

be smart. buy a blackberry or a windows mobile phone

I had the choice of an iPhone or a Blackberry Curve. I have owned the iPod touch and it's great, but business wise I find it impractical.

get an ipod for your games and BB for your communication

I have an iphone...and for the average mainstream user...it's a nice smartphone...for any serious business user, winmo on a high end htc device is the ONLY way to go...i'd rather not defend my position as I know there will be alot of opposers to my comment...blackberry's are good for...well, email and business communication....i would say iphone/blackberry < winmo

Oh come on business users... Just get a damn laptop or something, I wouldnt manage a business from a cellphone...

One of the best buys I ever made!

Get large gigs as you can

Go crazy in the ap store esp for music production, beats, synths and stuff aps!

Brilliant bit of kit imho

New one is coming out not too far off so possibly wait till then.

I've had a blackberry, a G1, checked out the droid, and I now have an iphone.

The blackberry is great for sending texts and e-mails, but browsing the web sucks.
The android interface needs to mature a bit as it's still pretty clunky compared to the iphone.

I'm sticking with the iphone for a while until the android UI is a little more polished.

If you decide to get an iphone, check out these apps:

Bump - great for quickly trading contact info
5 MPX Camera - makes your iphone take pictures that are as good as those taken by a 5 megapixel camera...takes a while to save between each shot though.

i've had a G3 for a year and I love it. It DOES synch with my mail (gmail apps for biz), and calendar over the air, I don't use Outlook but I have clients that do and it works for them too.

GPS is great even in here in Canada, and I can run and manage over 200 websites thru WHM using my IPhone; post to my blogs; and update most CMS sites.

I can click phone numbers in emails in my inbox to make a phone call, click addresses in emails and instantly see the location on google maps WITH driving directions.

I watch movie trailers and then buy the tickets.

Who could not love that :-)
