Anyone good with Iphones? I bought an unlocked one for Tmobile and it has this little "1" in a red circle over the Installer widget and I don't know how to get rid of it. I think that might be the reason also why my phone runs so slow.. Help please if you can. Thanks.

It means that there is a update to one of the apps. all you have to do is click on it and update whatever is new

Updated, but it is still there. Do I have to restart my phone?

yeah, just open installer and then click on the "updates" tab on the very bottom right of the screen in installer. you should see the app that needs to be updated, click on it and then update.

edit: if it's still there, try restarting the phone. my 3G does the same thing, it will show i need updates but usually if i just open installer and then check the updates tab, it refreshes and then it goes away.

Bought it unlocked for t-mobile eh?!?

I have my iPhone completely customized, Everything about it!!... Seriously!!....
What firmware are you running?? Do you have it Jailbroken yet??

Check out my site, I list just about everything you can do for an iPhone
http://www.iphonehacksnmods.com
Click on the *downloads* section, and I have custom firmware posted, and QuickPwn/WinPwn....and a bunch of little hacks/mods/upgrades/...

if you need any help with it, let me know!!!... Me & Apple are like Bro & Sis

wtf, it's still there..

@ boosey, can you help me with the Tmobile t*zone hack?? and getting rid of this Installer update?

Sorry bro, T-mobile started cutting down on that...people were getting away with Full blown internet for $5.99 a month... It won't even let you access it anymore!!...

That's something I wish I could still do with my iPhone too!!... I mean, sure , it's a little slower internet connection, but DAMN, $6 a month!!!... can't beat it!!

but yea, sorry bro, they stopped that dead in its tracks

click on it again make sure it is updated, then do hard reset (power and home same time)

** Hard Reset- Hold Home & Power buttons at the same time, keep holding them until the screen goes blank and comes back up with the apple logo, when you see the logo, release BOTH buttons!!...

@jazz- don't want him to put it in dfu mode....gotta be detailed

hi boosey

could you help me with this issue. i have ipod touch now 6 months old, and the battery just goes exausted after an hour or half an hour.

i've tried to discharge it completely and charge to the fullest, several times but problem persists. The battery on the beginning lasted for 5 hors minimum but in just 6 months it exausts so quickly now. Just to mentiion I didn;t overuse it or charge more then once ina a 3 to 5 days.

what could be the problem, any solution?

Will I have a problem with my phone being unlocked doing a hard reset? I mean will it go back to being locked?

That also sucks about the tzone hack.. Do you think there will be another work around and is it gone forever?

Honestly, I've never had that happen with any of my Apple Products..... I always buy them brand new, and let them die completely, then fully charge them , and let them die completely again....

the device gets used to that size of charge...

Do you still have Applecare?? I'd take it back to an apple store if I were you!!....

Actually, if you don't wanna do that... check my site on the 1st page
http://www.iphonehacksnmods.com

I believe there's a post there about a case/battery charger all in 1.... Check that out too!... (no it's not a CPA offer, just a review)

cucr3- No, your phone will still remain Unlocked....

Just make sure to hold them both down (for roughly 10 seconds), and then when the screen goes blank, and pops back up with the apple logo, you have to let go of BOTH BUTTONS immediately!!!....

that will hard reset it (basically close anything running in the background)....and it should run faster too!!!

thanks boodey regarding battery issue.
a few questions

1, i have 1.xx firmware on ipod touch, ,
i saw on your site iphone 2,1 firmware, for the 2nd iphone gen.
from apple website i see it as the same firmware as one for ipod touch.

2, could i download and install this 2,1 firmware posted on your website on ipod,
should it require some kind of unlock afterwards? or works out of the box.

3. possible problems with itunes then?
regards

kal

If you downloaded the firmware from my site, it should work perfectly....just make sure you use Quickpwn/Winpwn/Pwnage Tool!!, and follow all the directions EXACTLY .... you don't want to brick the iPod Touch!!...

You shouldn't have any problems with itunes at all!!...

if you need anything, let me know:P
