What are the best resources to learn about Iphone or Android app development Business? I was thinking about some downloads, courses or websites. Where I can learn:

1) How are people making money building these apps
2) How are they getting the apps built --outsourcing
3) If I wanted to get started programming my own apps, where should I look


Any suggestions?

You need to build something people need/want. You can charge for it but it seems these days that freemium is the business model of choice with either ads or space for expansion via micro transactions.

Do you have any programming experience? Android: Learn Java, IPhone: Learn objective C.
There is a guy with a brilliant resource on youtube for all kinds of develpment, including android and iphone development for beginners upwards. I'd post a link but I can't, so youtube "The new boston" and have a look at his playlists.
 
There is no money to be made in mobile apps. Please forget it about it completely and look elsewhere for a source of income.

I HOPE this was sarcastic... Pretty sure a mobile app recently sold for a billion dollars (instagram). But yeah I guess $1,000,000,000 isn't much money

That's pretty funny, I know a guy who has 20 full time programmers, and has had over 100 million downloads, the money he is making is SICK !!
 
Its better to start with iOS.,

My first app was with Android, I only do marketing

My developers develop,

Also there are few other sites where you can start creating your apps
 
Been learning android app development for about 6 months now, think im about ready to work on my dream project, getting junk out there seems preety easy but making a high quality app that ticks all the boxes looks quite tricky.
giving the apps away for free and having adds seems to be the best method and then u can offer an ad-free version at a price.
 
You can look up Trey Smith he has a lot of free information on building game apps for money. You can also use teamtreehouse to find out how to code iphone apps.
 
If u know html5 and javascript
just install appmobi html5 xdk
and u can build it easily
