I don't use iphone's at all, 2 year old android phone is serving me just fine. Don't see the point. For a lot of people it's just about 'status'.
How much of a discount you can get trading in?

should be around ~700 aud discount for the 16 pro if trading in a 14 pro last checked yesterday
but would usually sell it on fb instead for nearly 1k if bothered...
appled crippled the site to be pre-order page only now so can't really check
I use phones for 3-4 years before swapping out
