Ipage better than Hostgtor?

From the reviews i read iPage does fairly well. (I haven't used hostgator) I hope you didn't miss out on their mega sale recently at 2,95/month. I was checking them out for a while until the sale kind of pulled me in.

So far so good. Support seems fairly decent as well.
 
I believe host gator is better if you consider everything -- uptime, price, flexibility (month-to-month) and customer support. In my opinion you shouldn't even compare between Hostgator and IPage. Don't get me wrong. IPage is very good host, but not close to Hostgator which easily belongs to first three biggest names in the hosting world and the good thing is they are not just a "brand".

Hostgator is the worst host I have ever done business with. Every support request will result in them trying to up sell you something to "fix" the issues they create. Stay far away IMO
 
I have read good feedbacks of ipage. I tried to purchase, but my card didnt work on their site, so now i use webhosting hub.
 
I don't know anything about iPage, but I LOVE HostGator - their customer service is second to none. They are one of two hosts I use and I have been quite happy with them. I'm sure there are better services out there for hosting, but HG has to be near the top of the list IMO....

ipage is giving free domain so does that mean you register your domain for free ?
 
I was wonderin if you can make a stealth Hostgator account as they been adding charges on me six months and I have not had the site up at all?
 
@consciousnesscreates: Yep, iPage offer seems to be extended. First time i saw was last Sunday and back then

@orzyman: They do offer free domain registration as part of the deal.

I've never had the "upsell" talk with Hostgator, they always fix my problem quickly and efficiently, and the chat support people are nice too, I started with their Hatchling plan years ago, and now I'm on their Standard Dedi Server.
 
I have a 1-year hosting plan from iPage and a 3-year from HostGator.

HostGator is simply the best. iPage is AMAZINGLY slow; more than 3x slower than HostGator with a fresh. WordPress install

HostGator is brillant. Support is great, servers are fast, and they're just simply great. I would go with them other anyone else.
 
ipage 5 days promo has been on going for almost 2 weeks. lol. their 5 days never ends.

anyway, can you compare ipage to bluehost please. im looking for some great but affordable hosting. thanks
 
Yep.. seems like it. I noticed that iPage is almost the same as Fatcow. Cant vouch for ipage but if there is any experience with Fatcow in terms of speed, downtime and so on, then I guess the same is applicable for iPage too.
