IP Question for University Internet...

Let's say I can get connected to a large internet network, a university.
Can sites like Google or Twitter detect that my IP is causing trouble by making mass accounts? I mean there are 20k students on the same base IP? I'm not an internet expert, but do they see subnets or something so they could block my specific IP and not every other students?

Or can I enjoy being ban free from certain BH activities during my tenure on campus?

pretty soon you will be called at dean office.if the admin is looking into accounts he will pretty soon figure out where all the traffic is coming and going to.

a advise use a mac address spoof to be little safe, i used to do it when i was in uni, but my uni internet suck.

False. I know the CIO for a major University. He doesn't give a rat's ass what the student's do. However, he is obligated by law to obey the law, so for illegal filesharing, etc... every month he drags a bunch of students into his office and officially "warns" them that if they continue to illegally use their school computers again he will officially discipline them the next time. He also tells them that the reason why he knows it was them is because they were not using a VPN, and that many students use VPN's all the time and he never has any problems with them.

Class dismissed.

but how can an admin detect someone creating large amounts of say, twitter accounts? I mean Twitter isn't going to call him, he won't see any flags because it isn't like a sketchy site is being visited...

I doubt these large website will every IP ban. They have advanced algorithms that surpass IP banning, such as detect spammy activity on accounts make from a certain IP. I'm not sure if they can do this, but they may be able to ban your mac address. Someone with more of an understanding of IPs might be able to help.

So with that logic, if I got a VPN
I could manage 50 Twitter accounts from my native IP, and that would be safer than using 50 proxies?
That's what makes sense in my mind. I mean my personal Twitter sees 5-10 IPs every day from around campus, if I maybe fired up the bot and logged into all my accounts at various places occasionally, how could they differentiate then?

They could only really use the account behavior, which on some networks, I can exercise well underneath thanks to how some of you guys really spam (actually am thankful), and grow the accounts.

in order to learn, do it, get some experience, and update us.
 
Yeah I guess you could do that, we will never have an understanding of their ban algorithm until you test it in obscure circumstances. I thought that changing IPs would bring up more red flags than using the same IP. But then again, if you have 50 accounts registered to the same IP then that is a giant red flag.

Yes, but the University IP is very unique
this is just a random example, I've switched letters and numbers
Your public IP is 3455:435:987:a90:44ty:df9w:9999:efna
But a lot of that address is exactly the same for every other student at the U, so how would Twitter go about flagging that IP? Especially if parts of it changed a lot from different locations on campus.
 
In terms of trouble with your Uni you should be fine. Mostly they only crack down on illegal file sharing. My Uni bans internet access to your device if illegal file sharing traffic is found.

Yes I'm convinced I'm fine there, the thing is I don't want to try and find out necessarily, because then my pre-existing accounts would get killed if I just started mass work from my IP and it got flagged...

Again, the "Admin" doesn't give a shit what students do. The MPAA/RIAA send notices to the University informing them that illegal filesharing is taking place using their Server(s), and the "Admin" is obligated to follow official school procedures and officially "Warn" the students.

Other than that, he doesn't give a fuck. He says this, in these exact words. He. Doesn't. Give. A. Fuck.

I hope this is clear enough. However, on the chance that it is not, imagine if you will, the "Admin". He's in his 60's, is about 50 lbs overweight and wears the same clothes for about 3 days in a row. He makes about $130,000 a year. He has an office, and a desk, and a computer and a bunch of paper and he "does things" all day long, on most work days and occasionally on the weekend. His job description is varied, however nowhere in that job description is he required to give a fuck, so he does not. Homeless men approach him at the gas station, while he's pumping gas, and they say "Hey Mister, can you give a fuck?", and the "Admin" says "No, I don't give a fuck, to anyone, ever. It's not in my job description."

One time, he was on a National TV Game Show, and the Game Show host asked him if he'd like to trade in a fuck, for what was behind door #3, but he said "No." and wouldn't give a fuck, and because of that, he didn't win "A NEW CAR!!!!", nor did he get to bang that hot model draped all over that new car. Bob Barker was pissed. But that's how the "Admin" is. He won't give a fuck, not even to trade for a new car.

I guess, if you want, I can give you his home phone number, and you can ask all the convoluted questions you would like, for example would he give a fuck about fake craigslist accounts, Google accounts, YouTube accounts, FaceBook Accounts, etc... and he could probably tell you "No, I don't give a fuck." after each and every item on your list.

IDGAF about what the admin gives a fuck about!
I give a fuck about what Twitter gives a fuck about!
And Twitter gives a fuck about the public IP address creating lots of accounts!
But I give a fuck about knowing the following!
How does Twitter do fuck against my IP, when it is a public base IP shared by thousands of other people?
Does Twitter just say fuck and ban everyone on campus from Twitter?
Or does the semi-unique subnet of my campus assigned IP fuck me over and gets my unique campus IP banned?
Or does Twitter just say fuck and monitors accounts with spam activity from the base IP, because they're fucked and can't ban that IP without banning 20000 real users?
Fuck yes I did manage to say fuck on every fucking line.
Basically what the fuck does Twitter do when they see a fucking IP like mine raising fuck?
That's the only fucking thing I want to know. The admin can go fuck himself.

Well obviously Twitter isn't going to ban every account on campus because one fuck made too many accounts. That just sort of goes without saying. My guess is that Twitter, etc... make their decision to ban/not ban based on something other than IP Address.

The Admin will not fuck himself, because, as I have said repeatedly, he does not give a fuck, ever. Not even to himself. Admin only involves himself under 2 circumstances. 1) When law enforcement and school policy gives him no other choice and 2) When one particular student disrupts the network in some way, i.e. by hacking, using too much bandwidth, whatever. I doubt Twitter creation and other account fuckery is going to fall into this category.
 
lmao in my uni one teacher sent a link to torrents and crack for some software we was learning from. no one cares about that in Europe.
