IP of a site owner

Sup guys so I had this question which is if you wanna locate the exact location of a website owner like if someone is running a illegal site and government wanna get to the exact owner, how would they do it? Besides looking into the domain registration info ofc

Looking for IP leeches.

Since we're talking about something illegal, i don't think there's someone that dumb who'd just register/do/create something with their on ip adress.

This is what 'FBI" professionals do when trying to find out the exact location ->> Find IP leeches also known as "cookies" - Do you accept them? You shouldn't.

Anyway, there are of course, more methods to come though this is i think the first one that comes to mind.

If you send them an email and they open it you can see which IP address opened the email.
