I’ve been testing different traffic filtering methods lately and wanted to know what’s working better for others right now — basic IP filtering or behavioral analysis?

IP filtering seems easier to manage, but behavioral analysis looks more advanced for detecting bots and suspicious activity. Curious to hear real experiences, especially for ad traffic and fake click protection.

Not sure what you're trying to do but basic ip filtering is the oldest and unsafest kinda of cloaking

IP filtering still catches basic bot traffic, but most platforms now rely more on behavioral analysis like mouse movement, session patterns, click timing, and account history.

TBH, I’ve been running both side by side for a few months. IP filtering is simple and stops obvious junk, but the smart bots slip right through. Behavioral analysis catches the tricky ones way better, especially if your traffic is big and varied, but it needs tuning or you’ll block legit clicks. I usually start with IP and some lightweight behavior checks.

Behavioral analysis is generally more effective today since many bots rotate IPs, while IP filtering works best as an additional layer rather than a standalone solution.
