I got a question for you guys.

If a have a TM (t-mobile) IP. On ip location whoer its shows either chicago or Texas. But with a purchase FB profile its shows San Diego or Tijuana when using facebook.

How does FB make location, does it come from the profile purchase or from an edit in the location in FB? Or from the TM ip where was the last person using it where it was on his location?

Because, the GPS/Location is OFF when I login FB.

Anybody has the same issue?

Do I need a fake GPS/Location so that FB can fix the location, or it doesn't matter with an IP from TM ?

Yes, it happened and what counts is what shows on Facebook.
Facebook sets locations upon your activities, what groups you join, the friends you add, the pages you like, etc.
 
Facebook can use your IP address or enabled device location to determine your location.

Current fake ip software does not make it difficult for Facebook. If you want to change location effectively, you need to use antidetect and vpn (even 2 layers of fake ip).
 
But I'm no where in Mexico.

whoer.net says the ip is from Chicago.

and FB location says I'm in Tijuana mexico.

FB is not looking at the ip address.

Facebook can only determine the address you log in to. If you want your display address to be in Cali, you can buy a Cali IP proxy to use to log in to your fb account.
 
From your IP address, a website (including FB) can determine your rough geographical location – not down to street level but the area in general. That's why your location is often different on different websites.
