IP address noob! :(

Hey guys i thought this might be a good website to ask how i would go about changing my IP address to an actual IP i want? The only method i know of at the moment is just to turn of my modem for like 30 seconds and restart it but that just gives me a random new IP.

I am wondering if i can like create a list of IPs that i want and just change them to those easly?

Will changing IP address and clearing cookies and flash cookies make you appear as a completely different user on the net?

Also, Google is your friend.
 
If i decided to just use the method of unpluging my modem everytime i need to change Ip addresses wouldent this make whatever account i was loggin into look a lil sus? Wouldent websites prefer that you stayed on the same IP for your account that way they know its you for sure?
 
that proxy wiki is pretty damn technical. Can any one sumarise it and tell me exacktly service i will need to go for to hide my IP completely between accounts?
 
if you are resetting ur modem and your ip is changing then you are ok. don't worry
 
Yeah but wouldent having a constantly changing IP address on a website account arouse more suspicion? If your logging into the account with the same IP it would make you seem more "normal"??? Like some websites would ask for certain details everytime u try and log in or do something on an account that changes IP addresses allot. and what if for some reason i dident have these details but wanted to avoid this happening in the first place? So i really wanna stick to the same IP addresses for the accounts.
 
Oh my gosh, just google static ip service ffs. Don't be so lazy.

For many people just like you who have dynamic ip allocation from their ISPs it's natural to have IPs changed everytime they login. Websites know this for a fact. So you wouldn't be in a problem because your IP is changing everytime you login. that's ok

No.. multiple IPs is not suspicious.. what is suspect is when the IPs are geo-diversified. It's not typical of a user to be logging in from Florida Ip one day, and then Washington the next, and then New York the next, and then Canada later.. you get the idea. That's all that matters.

Download Click&Clear firefox addon and erase all of your browser data including LSOs. Just changing your IP doesn't cover your track when your computer is broadcasting the same user data.

It is perfectly common otherwise to have a changing IP.

You would think for a user named 'n i n j a stealth' you would know the basics like this. :confused:
 
If changing IP and chaning Windows xp user accounts between the website accounts enough? or do i still have to delete cookies and flash cookies?

Get Click&Clean Addon for Firefox and use it with your browser.
 
wtf? i thought that cookies were seperate between user accounts so why would i need to delete them?

..you already got an answer don't be all "No why." about it. Cookies attach to the internet browser, and that isn't user specific I'd think. But I'm not great at computers so.

Changing user accounts will mean you have fresh flash cookies specific to that user account.
