Both .io and .tv have been hot for years. Startups love .io for its tech vibe, while creators and streamers grab .tv for branding.

But when it comes to real value, which one wins long-term? Some investors say .io is the new .com for SaaS and AI projects. Others argue .tv has stronger mainstream recognition and is easier to explain to non-tech audiences.

Curious to hear what you think, if you had to bet on only one for the next 5 years, would it be .io or .tv and why?

It depends on the niche. In most cases, .io domains are more convenient, but for a website about media, iptv, movie or something similar, a .tv domain can be a good choice

Between the two, I'd put my money on .IO for the next 5 years. The tech and startup world keeps growing, especially with new projects in software and artificial intelligence. .IO has become the default for these ventures, and that trend isn't slowing down. While .TV is great for media, .IO seems to have more room for explosive growth in high-value niches.
Interesting take, do you think emerging AI video platforms might finally blur that .IO vs .TV divide?

Good point, Spicy Chromosomes!
Have you noticed any recent .TV sales outperforming similar .IO names in media niches?
