Im wondering, is this group still going ?
Every skype group I've seen in my life has suffered the same exact faith. Doesn't matter if you're making more than $5k/month or $50k/month. The dynamics are always the same.
Let's say you set the bar at $50/month thinking that you're screening out all the leeches.
So you wind up with 10 members who all earn over $50/month.
Problem is, there will always be 2-3 top earners. So the other 7-8 people in the group becomes leeches. Then the 2-3 top earners wind up wasting their time answering questions all day. They become the hosts. They don't learn or gain much. They don't benefit. They eventually learn "this is a fucking waste of time".
And there is no way I've found to control it on skype. You can slowly delete all the parasites then you just wind up with 2-3 people in the "group". And as we all know, in 3 person group dynamics there's always an "oddball". That guy you just don't quite trust or like. Maybe he doesn't share as much as others do. So you kick him out and bye bye group.
It could be just me, but my best skypes have ALWAYS been targeted, 1 on 1 sessions. Or where there is a DOMINANT SPEAKER and everyone else shut's the hell up.
With skype groups, the dynamics are like when your teacher use to say, "ok, now form groups of 5 people, this is what we're doing today". The first thing that happens is the class gets LOUD. People talk over each other. 1 person always tries to dominate the group while another tries to sabotage it. That's why most learning environments have 1 speaker. Everyone else shuts up and listens. If there's not serious structure and organization, the group will always break up and fall apart.
