I know this is a frequently asked question here, but I still want to ask. What do you think is the best option for me to start making money now that 2026 is approaching, I'm new and I've looked at a lot of methods but a lot of them seem superficial to me, what would be your advice on what to do, I'm not looking for any quick money, in fact I'm looking for a niche to spend time learning it. What have you succeeded in and would you recommend me to try without investing a lot of money to start with. I'm from a foreign country so maybe some idea that already exists but hasn't taken off in my country. I'm 18 years old and I would also like to take the opportunity to say hello to everyone in this forum, regardless of the answers I'll spend a lot of time researching the forum, I've found a lot of answers but some of them seem a bit outdated. Thanks in advance

Take a break from the forum and go learn web development and digital marketing. When you come back you will have the necessary skills to make money online.

I’m new to this field and looking for some information, is it actually possible to make money online?

Nowadays, AI is taking over. You can learn video editing. I saw that many people are earning a decent amount, like 2-5K$ monthly just making AI videos. If you find any interest there, you can try.

You can try starting a YouTube channel or a blog on a topic that interests you, as these can be good ways to make money online without investing a lot of money. Also, you can consider freelancing in areas like graphic design, writing, or programming, depending on your skills.

just pick something you can actually get good at like coding, AI stuff or digital marketing. Learn it try things out, see what works in your country.

Look for skills that are in demand globally but still emerging locally like content creation for niche audiences, language services or micro consulting.

Consider starting with something you can practice for free online, like building a small blog, creating digital content, or learning a coding skill. Focus on consistency and learning before spending money local opportunities often appear once you have experience...

It will definitely pay for you to learn a skill in demand. Examples are automation using tools like make, zapier, airtable etc, video editing (AI videos are in demand right now), meta ads set up... and then you could market your skills on platforms like upwork or forums like this.

Hey buddy, welcome to the forum

If you’re 18 and just getting started, the best move is to pick one skill and give it 3–6 months of focus. For 2026, the safest low-budget starters are:
  • SEO + local ranking (always in demand, low cost to learn)
  • Content creation/AI content editing (agencies pay for good editors)
  • Social media management (especially TikTok/Reels for small businesses)
  • Affiliate marketing with micro-niches (cheap, beginner-friendly)
Since you’re from another country, you can copy proven ideas from big markets and offer them locally — competition is way lower.

Don’t chase quick methods; build one skill, then scale.

Focus on learning a high-demand, location-independent skill like SEO, social media management, or copywriting, and apply it to serve businesses in your country by improving their online presence, as this builds real value with minimal upfront investment.
