Well howdy all!

For the past 5 years I have been running a successful 6 fig SEO biz and all along things were going well.

My links were all white hat with some grey in the mix but definitely no black hat.

Nothing illegal, nothing unethical - just good ol' fashioned links that worked well for my sites and my clients sites.

Well all that changed when the lovely people at Google recently decided that,

"well there really are not any white hat links - they are all black hat if they have been built in order to manipulate rank"

or words to that affect.

So there you have it, I am a black hatter after all.

Shame the real black hat stuff that is evil, is now all mixed into one big pot - thanks Google!

And with this new label thought I had better have a look at what goes on in BHW.

Here I am, hope to help a few with the things I have learnt and continue to learn by constant testing in my lab.

Cheers,

Bodydubl :)

welcome to blackhat world... i am also a newbie in BHW...

Welcome

Properly done blackhat looks 100% (or close) to whitehat and simply has more power, costs less and is being done by your PC while you're sleeping.

Now that the difference of white hat vs. black hat has been explained properly, we can all turn our back to google as a reply to their statement you quoted above.

Yes there is spam, but spam isn't the same thing as blackhat, just like using a 10kg hammer to repair a swiss watch isn't called watch repair. Spam is the result of a certain mentality/approach/strategy that people without skills use out of frustration and ... you guessed it ... their lack of skills.

Just a word of advice, as you just joined us: don't be the unskilled noob i mentioned above. Blackhat SEOs are hackers. I don't mean crackers but hackers. What I mean is to become a hacker you must think differently and bend shit in impossible ways. A hacker is not somebody who is evil or does bad things, he's something that improves things so he can achieve his goals easier, faster, cheaper, better. For that to happen, you need a serious skill set. If you don't have that, you're just a SEO wannabe, which is the equivalent of a script kiddie in the security world.

Hello OP, Same as you as was also white hat SEO expert and working only white hat methods, organic, manual techniques to create backlinks. But things have changed when I started to see newly created websites are ranking top for competitive keywords in less time. And my websites are where I am doing 100% whitehat are going down. I was trying so hard and other websites are getting up I was so pissed off.

Ever since I came across to this great forum which is about BH. I have changed my mind and working techniques and now I am 80% blackhatter. 80% because I still work manually, create backlinks manually for that 20%.

BTW, you will be having so much knowledge from here. Welcome aboard...
