Hello BHW,
Just an introduction. I first noticed this website many years ago, and have perused threads on and off here over the years. Yet I never became a member until now. I don't plan to sell anything here, my joining was primarily to see what can be learned once I qualify to have access to the restricted areas (such as for the Jr. VIP), as well as at that time be able to take advantage of review copies and discounts, as a few I've seen over the last month have intrigued me. I'm not very tech savvy, and about 6 years ago I dabbled in self publishing for a couple of years, for which I still receive a small amount of royalties. I did run an author website back then to collect email addresses for promotions, as I was paying 80.00 to 100.00 a week to be part of someone elses newsletter that got results. I do have a website I began about 7 months or so ago, I think it has about 4 pages to it, and 2 articles I wrote maybe 6 months ago that I've been procrastinating adding. Plans for several more, but once again I procrastinate.
I'm still very ignorant when it comes to web page layout, and placement of keywords and such on a page. And ignorant of so much more.
So unless there is a thread involving questions on self publishing, I'll probably be fairly quiet here unless one of you shares something really interesting and I have a question pertaining to that. So please don't allow my overall quiet observational to form an opinion that I'm of low benefit, rather please view it as I prefer not to showcase my own ignorance by intruding on topics of which I would add little to no value.
I look forward to learning from many of you here, in the same way I learned from a writing/publishing group I was a member of years ago.
