Im, running Interspire at the moment (without cron job); Want to sent 11000 mails for a client, but the process always stops and I get the following message:
    The application cannot proceed!
An internal error occured. Please contact your administrator and describe the steps you took before you encounter this error message.
Error msg: Unable to connect to the database. Please make sure the database information specified in admin/includes/config.php are correct.

Checked the settings in the config.php and they all see to be correct. And if they would be wrong then sending wouldn't be possible at all I guess

So far I sent about 1500 mails, but it stops again and again.. :(

Before I tried to send with the cron schedule system, but Interspire always paused after 500mails and I needed to press "pause" => "resume" to continue.

Settings should be fine: no limitations on VPS or Interspire set for max. email.

    Thank you in advance!

Is the server overloading? What CPU and RAM its using when IEM is running? Is the DB on the same host? Maybe you need to reinstall IEM and make a new DB. Or maybe if youre using a nulled version it wasnt cracked properly. Try get another release. Also cron jobs load the VPS a lot. Try running a campaign w/o cron and see how it goes.

This is a Level 3 Hostgator VPS and a bought version of Interspire.
CPU 1.13 GHZ and RAM 768

The only reason I'm running it without cron job now is because the sending stopped after 500 emails. Go*gled for an hour but couldn't find a solution yet. So I started the 2nd part of the database without the cron job in order to see if it will work better.

Wrote Interspire already a message, but their support is quite crappy and slow..

The thing is that I need to send 500K emails next week :D and then the cron MUST work!

OP - Did you find a solution? I have had this issue when not using cron. It will be good to know your solution incase others run into it.

    Thanks.

Try setting cron jobs to 30 minutes, and setting email throttling to 500 an hour.

Let me know how that goes.

It is because your system doesn't allocate you sufficient virtual memory (RAM). You need to contact your host to increase your memory_limit in php.ini. Or else use cron and set the maximum emails rate = 500-1000/hour in your interspire Email Setting. Hope it works for you.

Not related to nulled. PM me your issue and I'll help you with that. Plus, anybody can email me the issue with anything and I won't charge for any advise ;-)
