Going to a vacation in India in a couple of weeks, will be there for about two weeks and as you can imagine.. I will be needing the internet.

I will bring my laptop and my smartphone. I will be staying in Punjab and Delhi.

Will I be able to have a 24/7 Internet connection without limits and at what speeds? I'm used to a 20 Mbps which allows me to download at around 2 Mbps.

The 4G is still being rolled out and is available in Delhi for 'Airtel' Network and few selected cities of Punjab. So, you can expect a speed of 7.2Mbps (Around 750-900KBps) on a 3G network.

If you are in Delhi enjoy free wifi on Connaught place aka Rajeev Chock.

If you will be residing in 5 or 7 star hotels then you can enjoy free wifi connections on most places with great speed.

Dongle will help you in this situation.I am using Tataphoton wifi dongle, the stick+connection will cost you 2000 rupees for 1st month and then you need to pay some 1200/month for 30 gb data for second month

I will be staying in Delhi only for a few days and most of the time I will be in Punjab.

Is 3G pretty normal in Punjab with Airtel or Dongle? Keep in mind that I will be using it with the sim card in my smartphone, not wifi.

Yeah, Delhi have 4G , it gives unlimited speed without limits

Wow, that plan is freaking amazing, in the states a plan like that would cost close to like 19000 rupees
