# Internet Business Promoter vs. SEO ground rules

Hi,
I still don't understand if i should follow the IBP optimization report or follow some SEO ground rules.
The IBP report tells you what your top 10 competitors are using SEO wise.
Who's to say that i can't be better than them when it comes to SEO?
I'm very confused and i don't want this to damage my ranking.

You could do both, they're not mutually exclusive.

Yeah, i can.
but sometimes the results are very different.
For example, my phrase is not appearing on my competitors H1 Heading text etc.
I changes it just because of the optimization report but it looks ridicules to me, don't you think?

IBP is good for on page SEO only imo but I dont apply them when it comes to blogs.
