What are the best bank accounts for travelers.

I'm going to be traveling and might have to close my bank account as I'm
currently on a visa in Canada and it might cause me issues while traveling.

What are some good international bank accounts I can use. Ones that accept
wires from most countries, can link Paypal and payoneer to, great customer service
and has a visa debit card.

I'm not looking to avoid tax, just wondering what international bank accounts some
blackhatters use or recommend. Thanks

I assume you also want to do banking as you would if you were locally their, correct ? I would look into the area in which you will be traveling which will determine which bank has the most branches and which bank works with other banks.

I'll do this, + payoneer linked to the bank account, and I should be good.

I would recommend keeping your Canadian bank account. They are some of the best banks in the world. Most international banks such as Citi and HSBC require you to have a residential address for at least 6 months and a minimum balance.

while travelling open bank accounts in the countries where you stay longer and wire funds there for whatever you need. Using regional atm services is way cheaper than withdrawing from international cards.

safe travels.

Payoneer is not a bank, however you can use debit card that issued by Payoneer for shopping for any countries either online or offline.

But... you still need to have a local bank account for saving a lot of money and register debit / credit card with Visa or MasterCard logo for international. There is no way to register a new banking account through online, you need to go to a local bank in your country. If you want to register a new banking account at oversea, you need to go there and bring your passport.

PayPal is still best way for receiving money from people who live at different countries for under $1K. To get large amount of money from people who live at other country, you need to have a local banking account for wire transfer - e.g: above $1K.

*** Maybe DBS bank of Singapore is the answer for you. You can load fund from a DBS account to PayPal (by "top up"). But... to register a new DBS account, you need to go Singapore. Although DBS has internet banking system, there is no way to register a new account at DBS through online (without going to Singapore country).
