Hello to all SEO experts. Please tell me. When ordering SEO promotion, who should be responsible for the internal optimization of the website?
Most SEO experts simply sell external links, but how can I find someone who will fully focus on both external and internal SEO promotion?

By internal optimization, I mean working with the website code, improving the website's logic, speeding up the website, and developing a content plan.

I also have a question about pricing. There is a very wide range of prices on the market. Some people are willing to do work for $100, while others are not satisfied with $800.
One SEO specialist writes one thing (after analyzing the website), while another writes something completely different and does not describe the website errors that the first specialist mentioned.
I do not know who to trust...

Internal SEO like speed, structure, and content is as important as links, so choose an experienced specialist even if it costs more.

However, my requests to find such a specialist are only answered by SEO experts who sell backlinks and guest posts.

Internal SEO is key, pick an expert who does both code and links, not just cheap shortcuts.

Internal optimization should be part of a full SEO service, not separate from it. Look for an SEO who provides a clear audit, roadmap, and deliverables for technical SEO, on-page, content, and links. Pricing varies because quality and scope vary so trust specialists who explain why they recommend actions, show past results, and focus on business goals, not just links.

Clearly delineating roles and duties is essential when placing an SEO order. Improving a website's code, speed, structure, and content planning—all of which fall under internal optimization, ideally requires the expertise of a technical SEO, rather than merely a link builder. Pay attention to experts that give a thorough assessment with specific suggestions rather than general promises to avoid misunderstandings and large pricing discrepancies. Before you commit, be sure to look at previous work and request specific samples of the effects of both internal and external optimization.

you should be explicit about what you want :)

If you're willing to pay you can go to this forum:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/hire-a-freelancer.76/

... and say that you're looking for someone to do [insert very specific task in here], and that they should give you a timeframe for when the task will be completed, as well as how much the task will cost. Also mention that you don't want to be contacted by people who don't read / can't understand your exact instructions and that you'll disregard their offers.

You might (actually, I'm pretty sure that you will) get less replies, but at least they'll be tailored to your needs :)

Thank you for the full explanation. I will definitely create a topic that is more specific.

A ful seo specialist or agency should handle both internal optimization and external link building.

Cheap SEO is usually tools and links. Higher price means more real work. Different opinions are normal, but trust the person who clearly explains the problems and plan.

Internal SEO should always be part of proper SEO work — not an optional extra. If someone only sells external links without touching site structure, speed, or content logic, they’re doing only half the job. Ideally, one specialist (or team) should handle strategy, internal fixes, and off-page work together, because they all affect each other.

As for pricing, the difference usually comes down to depth. Very cheap offers often focus on links only, while higher-priced ones include audits, technical fixes, content planning, and ongoing optimization. If two SEOs give completely different audits, trust the one who explains why something matters and how it impacts rankings — clarity and reasoning matter more than price.

Look for full-service SEO agencies or consultants offering comprehensive audits. Ask for case studies showing on-page optimization, technical fixes, and content strategy alongside link building.

A good SEO specialist should handle both internal and external SEO, not just link building. Internal optimization (technical fixes, site structure, speed, and content planning) is the foundation and must be addressed first. Price differences usually reflect depth of work and experience $100 is often basic or low-quality while higher prices include full audits and strategy. Trust specialists who provide a clear audit, explain issues, and share a roadmap instead of vague promises.

In a proper SEO engagement, internal optimization should be part of the SEO’s responsibility or clearly included in the scope, not treated as an extra. I’d look for someone who starts with a technical and content audit, explains priorities clearly, and prices based on workload and goals rather than just selling links.

Great insights! I’m also curious about finding an SEO expert who handles both internal and external optimization effectively.

For full SEO promotion, it’s best to separate internal and external tasks. Internal SEO (site speed, code, content plan, structure) should be handled by someone with technical and content expertise, while external SEO focuses on link building and outreach. Pricing varies because of experience and scope don’t just go cheap. Ask for a detailed audit and plan before hiring, and check references or past results to know who’s reliable.

If you are giving seo provider the responsibility for ranking your website, it should be his responsibility to tell you the problems that your website has and to improve those problems.

For Pricing it can vary from the work that you demand from seo specialist. You should be ready to pay someone $300-$500 per month if you require him to take responsibility of Good external links that index with good authority and SEO audit of website, content changes etc.

A real SEO specialist should handle both internal and external SEO. If someone only sells links, that’s not full SEO. Higher prices usually mean audits, fixes, and strategy, while very cheap offers are often shortcuts. Trust the SEO who explains issues clearly and gives a complete plan, not just links.
