Do they have the same power. let's say you have 100 internal links to one of your pages. do you have the sames chances of ranking that page as having 100 backlinks?

I actually keep my interlinks very low, basically only when necessary for navigation.

While it is good to have a good internal linking structure, you cannot rank a page with internal links.

You have to consider your linking structure as a power grid.

Based on that, you need to have an external source of power to bring juice into your internal structure.

You have to consider your linking structure as a power source, and working just like a power grid.

I usually describe it the same way.

Internal links are more important but Backlink only gives you power

Internal linking is Good and a must too, but 1 also need to powerup their internal links with some sort of link juice.

Chances on ranking will highly depend upon keyword competition, but without any backlinks it is not possible to rank only on the basis of internal linking. 100 content pages and internal linking will surely help a lot to rank, but backlinks to those pages/main page will be required as well.

Internal relevant links to topics Worth + Relevant backlinks for that page Worth = Rankings Higher

Internal links is just increase your site impression not provide any power to you.

Both Internal links & external links are important in link building technique.

External link - take readers from your website to another website, So it gives power in terms of ranking & traffic.
Internal link - take readers within your website, So it gives power to that external link in terms of credibility, bounce rate, link juice & moreover it looks natural to the eyes of Google.

Example :

100 external link & 0 internal links - Good in ranking but that Looks unnatural to eyes of Google - So, its a Spam!
100 external link & 30 internal links - brings additional power to the external links which always get you good ranking in very natural way.

Thus, the website has do-follow / no-follow links & internal / external links - That's best link building practice.

Internal linking plays an important role to improve a site rank. It helps to create anchor links for keywords to rank easily. People who haven't yet read out your old articles will give it a look, if it is relevant to the current article. So it will help to improve traffic as well (If it is used rightly).

Internal links is just increase your site impression not provide any power to you.

internal links are good for:
bounce rate
pass some juice to other pages
helps your visitors.

the bad:
only one ip, yours
every person with a site can make one

Google wants a lot of ips versus one.

Are you kidding me. That's obviously only the case when several (different) domains with the same IP are pointing to one domain. That has nothing to do with internal linking.
