Internal Linking Vs External Linking

Howdy all

Im fighting my competition with a specific keyword I was on top for like two weeks now peaked down the video results on google. The competition video has quite a bit of views but my views match now all high retention with a little of low retention . I have more likes more real comments over, 2k links, 500 tweets 460 shares twitter fav retweets 2k facebook likes 20 g+ etc.

While my competition has 85 links and 1 like . All i can see is that he has commented on other videos targeting the keyword. he does not look active in promoting the videos for 3 months.

So my question is , is it better to comment on videos to build up channel or building external links? Which is more effective?

You should build some external links first.

Do a mixture of both.

Start building external links first then you can go for commenting.
