Interesting way to make money - Noob friendly

This method is very straight forward, and I have not seen it here yet. I any case, this was shared on another forum, and so I thought it might be useful for some folks here.

Method:
Step 1: Go to removemugshots dot com and join as an affiliate. This can take a day or 2. If you dont hear back simply try to login after a couple of days (sometimes they dont send emails after approving accounts or probably approve all accounts).

Step 2: Go to mugshots.com and make a list of people who's mugshots are listed there.

Step 3: Contact these people (from step 2) using fb / twitter ( fake account), and mention that you saw their pics on mugshots dot com, and if they wanna remove it they should go to removemugshots dot com (your affiliate link), and get it removed.

That's it! Every person that joins RemoveMugshots dot com gets you $50/-

I personally have not had the time to use this method, but seems pretty straight forward. Also, I am sure people can add some twists and make it more efficient.

Just looked over mugshots.com...

The biggest stumbling block for this method would be sorting through the mugshots for those likely to be available in someway online (fb, twitter, etc.) but who also meet these criteria:

While Mugshots.com is perfectly within its rights to publish true and factual information concerning Official Records, protected by the First Amendment to the U.S constitution, we've made the ethical decision to accommodate a number of situations where a case has been concluded. Those situations are specific and limited to the following: Charges have been legally Expunged, or Sealed Juvenile Records (under eighteen at time of arrest) Disposition of Acquittal or Not Guilty Clemency, Pardon, or Amnesty Commutation Non-adjudicated disposition Adjudication withheld Dismissal of charge Misdemeanor charge Non-Violent charge Diversion Program Nolle Prosequi Deceased relative

I certainly don't understand most of these, and it's not obvious which criminals are actually eligible. Of course, you'll probably also find many criminals who want their mugshot removed, but don't meet the requirements.

Seems like a large project to be worth anyone's time.
 
That quote above is just letting people know that they do not publish peoples photos that meet those requirements, so, you can assume if the someone's info is on mugshots.com they are fair game.

Should have read more closely... This makes the project significantly easier, but there are clearly many ways to go about sorting through them still. Searching or doxing one by one seems exceptionally inefficient.

What I like about this idea the most is that you could find that one guy who will buy in right away and wam bam... 50 in your pocket.

Just had a look at the mugshots site

Lol just looking at a few, I think they will probably boast about it rather than pay to get their photo removed

Yes, so? It does list Remove Mugshots there, and since you gave them a link in your email, chances are they don't know its an aff link, and will go through it.

If you don't wanna try it, that's fine.

Hi, the online mugshots are not a laughing matter, these are actually damaging the lives of mugshots victims who were arrested but proved innocents, and the firms like remove mugshots dot is working to repair their lives. We all know the importance of reputation, these mugshots are actually damaging the lives and relations. One of my friend was also a victim of online mugshot firms, his mugshot was posted by mugshots.com. He was not guilty and proved innocent but mugshots aggregation firms posted his mugshot with other criminals, he took the help of remove mugshots dot com and successfully removed his mugshot.
This is a racket and someone needs to look into this, and remove mugshots dot com is actually fighting with this. It is not right that cases are being dismissed but mugshots are being posted on the internet which is even worse then spending time in jail for the actual crime. As a group it is our goal to get the law to read that ?no person or business entity shall use information obtained from public records? to ?solicit for commercial purposes.

You didn't mention how do I go about finding those people online. I saw one guy on mugshot and when I searched his name on facebook I got 2000 results...how do I find him?

check before if they still accept affiliates, i registered ages ago, even emailed and they never answerd or approved my account.

Now I just went to the site and the affiliate button is linked with the home page.

my be they look your country IP, dont know, but I looked into it, but never got any answer, I am sure they can set up, their own strategy, to contact those peopel easy.
 
No one is laughing about it here, and that is not the point of this thread.

In fact, using this method would help people like your friend to get their pic out of mugshots.com
 
why would you go through all of this trouble just to make $50 per person?

This seems very long winded and useless
