Hello guys,
I have my own theory on what might be causing the follow blocks we're all experiencing.
I know you all heard of the ig outage and how many users saw that they were following 0 people when it happened.
So, I don't know if some of you knew this, but even before this incident, for example when you have an account and you start unfollowing a lot of people until it hits 0, you're gonna be hit with a followblock that lasts at least 4-5 days (unlike the usual ones that last like 1 day or 2).
maybe (this is just a theory), IG's algo might be labeling a lot of old accs as if they had 0 followers,or let's say just the accounts that have 0-500 or 0-1k followers are being seen like that, what I noticed is that all my accounts that are following like 2k to 7.5k people right now are not getting follow blocks anymore , i tested and got a result of 8/10 accs working perfectly without blocks, so i want you guys to give this a test please, try to follow people with your acounts that are already following at least 2k people and see the result, Again this is just a theory and I could be wrong.

Now that we're seeing that even normal users are getting Blocked from following, I don't think that this is related to bots and automation only, Time will tell!, But I think everything will go back to normal again.

So your recommendation is to stop unfollowing before count hits 0? Good thing GMT2 has an option for that!

got accounts following in range above 1k till 6,5k which are blocked. next theory pls

like i said 8 out of 10 accounts worked which means not all of them will work obviously, try with 10 accounts or more and then give me an update.

Just one element in the grand theory.

While your argument is valid.

There are much more pieces to the puzzle.

I got more than 10 "running"

IMO it has nothing to do with bots.
I use different accounts (up to 20 at a time) with some different phones and all on 4G. So nothing automatized, everything i do is manual.
And still have blocks... i've come to the conclusion that if the accounts is new (less than 1 month) for sure 100% you'll have blocks. I have some accounts laying around only because i cant follow more than 40 a time with them.
Still, some other accounts that are older (1-6 months) don't have issues at all. With those i am following 800 a day with no restrictions at all.

However be aware, if the total number of follows surpases 5k (doesnt matter if you unfollow or not) you wont be able to follow anymore.

Think it like this, like every normal human would do...
The first days you create an account, do you go and follow 200 people in 2 minutes? Do you have that much friends at a time?
Second, do you go and follow 2k people in 3 days? Do you even know 2k different people?
Third, you go up to 5k following... that's insane. In theory you wont have the material time to see what those 5k profiles have posted!!!

So IMO Instagram is just trying to be more human-based. Things have changed and we like it or not this is going to be...
I'm pretty sure that someone will go and break the system and follow 1k a day, somehow someone at some point manages to do that... but i dont think Jarvee or GMT2 will do it (just my opinion).

P.S- don't see my "newbie" status here, i just decided to join this forum after years of sniching here :-) . I've been managin facebooks, instagrams and anyother type of SM for years.

PS: You are a newbie to the forum not to your skills.

Can even someone tell how much most users on instagram follows per day we have to study the behaviors of most people how many follows per day most follows per hour. And most hours of usage And shit like that will tell the limits ,if you know any website thst has this type of stats please share and lets study it together

Personal Experience Update:

1. Used an account 2 years old totally blank for some days. Was able to send up to 800 followers a day with no issues at all (not even a single block). The experiment was made on a totally fresh phone with a brand new sim inside, totally manual.
2. Used an accounts 10 days old totally blank for some days. Couldn't send morr than 40 followers per hour (tempprary block). The test was made in a brand new phone with a brand ne sim. Totally manual.
3. Used an account 1 month old with profile picture, bio and some posts inside (some following and followers too, 200-450 to be precise). Also brand new tabled over brand new wifi. Couldn't send more than 35 followers at a time. All manual.
4. Used 5 accunts (all in different phones, all actions made manual) which had 5k following aprox (or had 4k because i unfollowed 1k during the last days). None could send more followers.

Make your conclusions on my experiment...
My opinion?
A- It's impossible to send more than 5k following in a short period of time (i'm guessing 2 weeks or 1 month).
B- Fresh accounts (up to 1 month) get blocks after 40 followers at a time. Old ones don't.
C- For automatization, try runing 30 followers per hour with no other action (likes, comments etc). Should be fine... (30 x 24 hours a day = 720 followers a day). No need to unfollow nobody, at the end if you have reached 5k overall you can't send more.

Again, this was my experiment, my test and my opinion. In some other case could be different.

Cheers, i hope you have your situations fixed.

Sh1t man, you are so right. Sorry that I'm digging it out but today I've faced the same problem with follow block and what you're saying looks like it's true.

I'm tired of playing with bots/proxies/vps and IG accounts - too many of them were banned and I dodn't made on it a cent. So I leaved it (for now) and figured to try manual method like you do. I've created account on my phone and started posting and follow/unfollow people. To stay under the radar, at first Ive posted 1 post (picture) per day and follow no more than 20 ppls per day. I kept this system for a week. And it worked pretty well. With next posts I was more bold and followed more and more ppls. I've made that to the point that I followed about 150-200 people per day. I unfollowed it too. Problems started 2-3 days ago (I have account for 3 weeks) - after follow about 30-40 ppls I get 1 hour follow block.

So now to consider:
- either I let rest my IG account for let's say 48 hours or...
- ...I will follow 25 ppls per hour for a whole day.

What do you suggest? Ah yes - either way my account will get older and older. Can I assume that when 1 month will pass (for about 1 week), my follows will increse?

Thanks!

I am currently buying blank accounts 1 year old or more and i am not having issues with sending up to 800 followers per day on none of them.
My current issue is that i am having some PV on them and i don't know how to fix this permanently, but for the follow/unfollow theory i'm still stick with what i wrote above... i can send a lot of followers on older accounts and still get blocked after 5k.
However as for the PV i am letting my accounts rest for some time with no actions at all and see if this PV block gets removed.

1. You are talking about IG pages as if all of them are personal, they are not, IG are well aware that a page can be used purely for business so you dont need to have "2k friends"...
2. I skimmed through this, aged accounts are getting hit as well, and some people can follow more on newly created accounts vs aged accounts, and you are basically talking about warming up accounts, which as been known for a while.
What happens when 5 day, 30 day, 365 day old accounts all do the exact same actions (if the "aged" accounts have been inactive)
I think they are better at seeing botted patterns combined with a lot of different factors.

I think its deeper than this but sure its a piece of the puzzle.

The real truth is: It has a blacklist of subnets that spammers use. It will limit you 50 follows a day, if you are using a good automating system. Otherwise, it is better find a new proxy provider ! Instagram Update the list year from year. It is the same block we had past year !

Well, i've said it before in this thread... this is my personal experience and absolutely it could be different in any other case.
It's been maybe 2 years that i am doing bussiness with instagram accounts and never had any issue with it at all... at the begining i could send 1k followers a day, remove 1k followers a day... basicly could do anything an not get banned. In most of the cases i could make a 20k account within 2 weeks...

However all this changed after the instagram update, and on my personal experience old accounts are better then new ones... that comes from someone who deals with different 50-100 accounts every month.
I've been doing well with aged accounts, when everyone was talking about block i was sending 800 followers a day and still doing so.
So, AS FOR ME, in an aged accounts i could go up to 800f a day and in new ones not even 100f.
I've said it before, having 5k following in your profile and sending 800 a day is not normal at all... i mean is madness!!! Who is that person that follows 5k accounts and have time to check them all... i meam this is the total opposite of "normal human action"... but somehow aged accounts dont get blocked, at least for me.

What happends when you work on an aged account? It litteraly doesnt have any following at all, and suddently after 2 years it stars following 800 accounts in a single day... yeah, i'll agree witg you that this will raise some flags and should get banned, but in my case it didnt...
I bought last week 10 aged accounts from someone here on the marketplace. Thay had no followers, posts or anything. They all had rediffmails on them and i created 10 fresh new gmails and put them all on the accounts. Confirmed the emails and started sending 800f a day. In a week i had sent 5k followers and gained around 3k back (during this week i was posting only once a day).
However when they hit 3k after 1 week i sold all them to my usual buyer and he changed the emails, pictures and rebranded those as he needed them to be and started posting daily. 2 weeks later he has no issues with them and the accounts are live.

I am repeating this procced every week, so basicly i am not getting errors... and all this comes from aged accounts.

Once again, this is my experience, in any other case could be different

All my fresh IG accounts have been facing constant action blocks that last about 24-48 hours. However, my aged accounts are trudging along with 30 follows per hour fine on my web-based bot.

Do your accounts go on a mobile proxy?
Do you use Jarvee?
Do you do all this in Jarvee through a browser or API?
Do you do 800 observations a day?
