Interesting discovery on shadowban

So I suspected I was shadowbanned for some time, but I kept being able to see myself on various hashtags whilst logged out.
Today I tried looking up the hashtag pages in TOR browser which is an anonymous browser.

It turns out that I am shaddow banned on my city's # and my country's #
But I still show up on smaller more niche tags.

Just shows you how powerful the algorithms are at limiting you if they suspect dodgy activity.

I dont think this is due to me botting but rather because I have had a few pics taken down for being too risque... I suspect the people who reported it did so on these more general public hastags... I'm shadow banned in geotags too.

Oh well. :/

Not Sure.
Will check up on it periodically and report back!

What is even more interesting is that there are various levels to shadow ban. Like you said certain hashtags, but also top 9 in hashtags. Your image may show up in recents but is banned from top 9.

And even more interesting is the level of a shadow ban which excludes your photos from location tags. You might show up in hashtags but that doesn't mean you are showing up in the location tags. From my tests there is absolutely no logical connection and it seems that some photos get flagged for shadow ban at the time of posting some can later reappear when you retag them to a new location some may not...
I do start to believe that they found a way to "infect" certain accounts and then the disease spreads through engagment groups by itself...

This ? I have that issue on my new accounts.

I am strugling for days to start fresh and new, completely legit, just to not have any handicap at start... dunno what to do anymore, i am desperate.

Same here. I am taking a break from IG. It has been a week and I think one of my accs isnt banned anymore. Shows up in top and recents. Used a hashtag that had like 40 posts so im not sure if the acc is fully functional. Ill wait a bit more before doing further tests.
