Absolutely nothing of value to take from this post. Just another "reputable" news corp jumping on the SEO bandwagon. Remains me of that awful Forbes link-bait article a few months back.

Nothing to see here, move along.

The writer visited BHW and copy pasted. There is literally nothing there that isn't discussed on the daily here.

NY Times jumps all over Google with their SEO pieces and now HuffPo, a real rubbish online publication, wants in on the action too.

This author looks like she's a mommy blogger, PR/social media specialist, who just copy/pasted 10% of what is in Google's official webmaster SEO document.

    Not worth reading.

    Great article marcus,

I agree that the SEO world is always changing and changing quickly. It is becoming more clear that Google is trying to distance itself from using links as a ranking factor for good content. This is evidenced by its startup of Google Plus and Google Authorship programs. They are very close to finding a good way to tie quality content to the authors that produce it. Once they are able to do this consistently and effectively, things like backlink building will no longer be very effective, at least for Google.

Check out this post on authorship,

    http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-prepare-for-authorrank-and-get-the-jump-on-google

    Hope that answers your question,

    Shawn

It was probably a guest post linking to an agency, so they can seem knowledgeable. Black hat will never die just got harder and still is the base of many key finds in SEO
