Interesting article on crypto from Bloomberg

Yea, I guess it has played out much like the .com bubble.

If it follows that trend in the long term then hopefully crypto will explode in a year or two once it turns from interesting but useless to boring but paramount.

I don't say the content of this article is untrue, but neither do side it.
Truth is the valuation is sourced by the value the retail and institutional investors give to it.
The perception changes from time to time and, yeah sure, there have a been quite a boatload of shitcoins and tokens, out for a quick money grab. If people didn't flip hyped shitcoins from ICOs they need a huge amount of hope to recover their investment.
Let's see what the future brings, personally I hope for some kind of regulation to end this wild west.

These markets need clearly a cleanup from all of this shitcoins. This happens right now. Traders exploited these just generate more bitcoin. For many, there was no real use case.

True, true... but hey, where is Amazon now? Same with google and others like ebay? :p
I always thought that 90% of shitcoins gonna die as soon as big cash and marketplaces come in, wont change my mind :P

Hear hear.

For someone who really understands the financial, social and political implications of Bitcoin and other legit cryptocurrencies, it really hurts me to see so many shitcoins out there. All this money from the shitcoins will have to go somewhere else. Some people will cash out, some people will invest in the legit projects...

More general assets like commodities, stocks, et. al are bleeding as well. Look at all these 'safe' ETFs. Big boys recently switched to art markets and real estate to overcome bear times

I've read info from some of the greatest minds at Tescos, and they assure me that Bitcoin will be $45k by the end of the year. What is this Bloomberg nonsense you are quoting?
Oh they are just some Bitcoin activists

However since last year we suddenly see different kind of articles there. Who would have thought, they are no wizards who can predict the future?

At this point we can conclude it's all speculations, from Tesco employees to wall street traders to bloomberg authors

It's OK, keep piling your money in. I'm sure in 3 years or so, everyone will have gone quiet with embarrassment.

Maybe, perhaps. That's a possible outcome, but not the only.
I go by "only invest what you can afford to loose" and hope for the best.
