** Interesting #1 ranking result **

Cool, but how does Google know you're ranking #1 for any given keyword. Let me explain:

If I build a site about payday loans (lol), but you're not ranking #1 for payday loans, but you are ranking #1 for "awesome payday loans cheese sandwich", as you say, thats an easy keyword, but how does this create authority, and how does Google know you rank #1 for that keyword?

Google hires highly trained monkeys to check every possible keyword combination and is keeping records of it. I'm not joking:

if you rank for "best blue widgets for my site" google will know when you will rank #1 (they count impressions & every click you get)

it will make your site a authority site in "blue widgets" niche because you ranked. there are many tools you can use to find if your site has gained authority for that keyword and all are available on google search page.

Indeed, and accordingly I'm starting to take the view that an authoritative 301 from an unrelated site is a very valuable source.
 
Would be interesting to see if it is repeated using some shit low value KW's.
It seems the 301 method is killing it at the moment.

I don't remember where i READ IT but it was something VERY similar to this.

"very easy 4-word keyword" How many monthly searches is this keyword ? I mean i'm sure there is different if you rank site 1 for 50 monthly searches keyword or for 1000. To pass the authority to site 2 you need to rank at least to 500 monthly searches in my opinion.

Please keep us all posted, too - the more (proper) testing done on this concept, the sooner we'll have a conclusive answer as to whether it's chance, coincidence, or cause & effect.

The monthly searches has absolutely no direct link between monthly search volume and difficulty/ease in ranking, and so suggest 'you need to rank at least 500 monthly searches' is an arbitrary figure you've made up. I'm not saying it's wrong - I'm just pointing out that it's not backed by fact, just by opinion, and as much as possible I prefer to limit my activities to those based on fact.

There is of course (often) an incidental link between monthly searches and ranking difficulty/ease, because the more a keyword gets searched the more likely it is, in a free market such as the internet, that there will be someone looking to meet that demand, and competing for a top ranking. To draw a direct conclusion of ranking difficulty/ease based solely on search volume is mistaken at best, and possibly even ignorant.

You didn't answer my question (how many monthly searches) So in your opinion i can just rank number 1 in google for keyword with 20 monthly searches and no competition and then redirect it to my main website and boom?! It doesn't sound right. I'm not saying your "method" is not working. I just ask questions.

this could be the beginning of a great method, of course until it gets too popular. Because everybody knows what happens when a method gets too popular in SEO. Great sharing, could it be an exact relation between the number of searches of the first site and second site?
