    Hey everyone,

I am looking to get started with offline mobile marketing and am searching for a partner or 2 that wants to join me and make some money. I have been doing a lot of studying and research on it and feel like I'm ready to dive in now. There is huge potential with this strategy and since it's still kinda new to the offline world, there will be a lot of business owners we can target that don't even have a mobile site yet.

These are the strategies I would like to implement for business owners:

    • Mobile web development - (Making their website switch to a mobile-friendly version for anyone who accesses it with a phone or tablet)
    • SMS Marketing - (Setting up an entire SMS campaign for them to market to their customers. This will include table tents (for restaurants), flyers, and consulting on how to get customers to join their SMS list.)
    • Reputation management - (Helping them have a more positive web presence with Yelp, Google Places, etc.)
    • QR Codes
    • Mobile SEO

I am thinking instead of throwing all of this at them at once, we start with something simple like developing a mobile site for them, and then hitting them with upsells from there. Since mobile sites seem fairly easy to setup, we could do it for a fair price and use that as a foot in the door for selling them on other, more expensive services.

About me: I've been involved in IM for over 3 years now, so I have learned a lot along the way. My main focus has been SEO and affiliate marketing/CPA, but I am honestly just getting bored and frustrated with how big of a pain in the ass SEO can be with all the Google changes all the time. I want to switch my focus a bit to try and build a more legitimate business where I don't have to wake up every day wondering if my sites have been hit and my income is down. Plus, I think it would be much more rewarding providing a service to other business owners that helps them increase profit.

Aside from my general IM knowledge, I have downloaded and went through a handful of mobile WSOs that I got here from BHW that will give us a good head start. I have everything from email swipes, a video sales page that can be targeted to any business, graphics, brochures, business cards, power points, and much more.

What I am looking for in a partner: Someone who has experience in IM and is willing to work hard and put in the effort with me to make this a successful partnership. Preferably someone who already has experience in the mobile world, or has been doing a lot of research/studying on their own and has a good understanding of how it all works and is now ready to dive in. I will admit that I lack skills when it comes to the technical side of things (coding, programming, etc.) so it would be a huge benefit if you have experience in those areas for when we are building out the mobile sites.

I am located in the US (Chicago) so I would prefer to work with someone who is also US based so that we are in similar time zones. It would be a huge pain trying to coordinate times overseas. If you are in or around Chicago yourself, that is even better so we could meet in person and plan things out.

What I am NOT looking for: People that are lazy and don't want to work hard. Someone who doesn't yet understand the way mobile marketing works and won't be able to contribute to an even amount of the workload. Someone who doesn't have any IM success or experience yet.

If you're interested, send me a PM and let's connect on Skype.

You do not need any technical skills to create mobile sites because there are already web-based solutions that do these hard work for you, you just only need to key in clients data and adjust some colour scheme and logo. Anyway, if you need local business data to source/cold-call potential clients, hit me up.

Yeah I have seen a lot of the web based solutions and templates already and that is what I would be using to build the sites. The main thing I am unsure about is when it comes to setting up the site on the clients server. Do I set it up as a subdomain like (m.clientsite.com) or do I setup a redirect for everyone that comes from a mobile device but still have it on the main domain? That's kinda where I get confused and since I'm not very technical, I was hoping someone would be able to assist with that part.

Maybe it's a lot simpler than I think, but I'm just trying to make sure I have everything in order before approaching any potential clients.

hosting is usually included with whatever web-based solution you subscribe with but make sure you go with those white-label solutions as you will not want your offline clients to know where you host their mobile sites on.

There are 2 ways to setup your client mobile sites.
    1) create the subdomain of your client's website ie... m.kurtcleaningsolutions.com and redirect it to the mobile host IP, there will be instructions teaching you how to perform these settings on those white-label solutions.
    2) For lesser hassle, you can also purchase a mobi domain so for this example will be kurtcleaningsolutions.mobi and point it to the mobile site.

You then install a mobile redirect script on your client's corporate website so all mobile traffic will be redirected to the mobi domain. A .mobi domain is very cheap and should be included in your sales package if you are offering mobile websites.
