Interested in doing SEO for websites.

Ok I have been doing a lot of reading and have come to realize that getting someone ranked high on google can earn you a lot of money.

Now, I am pretty good with web design and all that stuff. I just have never done or attempted to do seo.

What exactly would I do to get someone's rank higher?
What programs would I need?(links please)
Would I need a website?
How much should I charge,and should it be reoccurring?

I'm not a genius and I haven't started this myself yet but you are going to want to have a look through the download section for SEO Tools. Including SEO Powersuite.

You are definitely going to need a website otherwise how are you going to promote your service? You are going to need a call to action e.g. a freebie to grab their attention maybe an ebook or something giving them more information about SEO or similar. Put the point across to them that they need your service to get more customers. Higher SERP's = Traffic = Customers = Profits. Around the range of $100 - $1000 per month depending on techniques used.

You might want to add packages on your website on what you offer e.g. bronze package, silver package, gold package etc.

Now all you need to do is start reading on this website to gather up the techniques used to gain higher SERP's. Oh and make sure you sure you check your competition and what they are offering.

You're asking for someone's business model.

After you get those answers, you should call Coca-Cola company and ask them for their recipe, too.

Why would someone share that info with you and increase their own competition?

Try to search what i asked.. you will get a bunch of random results.. How about being a little more helpful

instead of calling me a moron, you could point me in the right direction and possible give me tips on what programs i should use.

Tools you could buy are:

• xRumer
• ScrapeBox
• seNuke
• IBP

But beware, unless you know SEO, these won't help you at all! I reccomend reading up in the SEO forums here (both blackhat and whitehat if you're going to do SEO for others) and learning the basics without tools. Then when you know your SEO you can buy the tools. The programs aren't going to do your work, rather help you do it, they can't do that if you don't know how to do it properly.
