Inter linking

Yesterday my 6 important sites loose its ranking.My keywords which are in top ten position are not found anywhere in the search.I found one common thing in all the sites that is excessive inter linking so what do you think friends that because of inter linking i loose my ranking.Please share your views.

If you're only linking the 6 sites to each other over and over and over again it'll look really spammy to Google...

They might just look like paid for reciprical links or google already knows that you own all 6 sights as they'll be hosted on the same server/registered to the same addresses etc...

There has been a new Google update.

The new Google update is maybe the main reason. Though, you can remove those interlinking and re-index them and see what happens.
