INSTANT flag for status updates...

VERY strange, every status update I post on my fairly large fanpage gets literally instantly flagged down, I try to post multiple times, different times a day, but it is still getting flagged. Do I have a vigilante on my hands, or has FB incorporated some sort of incognito moderation system?
Can anyone share similar experiences?

What do you mean examples, he said he posts status updates and theyre instantly erased/flagged. Similar experiences being that happening to you or someone you know and what it means.

does it have a link? try a simple status update like 'hi'
 
If you have a link, that is more than likely the problem. Seems like if a user can tell it is an offer or something, they instantly flag it.

Don't be so obvious about an offer!

I've been to a couple of NICE fan pages lately that had a run of unrelated spam messages. It was so idiotic, that I went and flagged every single one. Don't be "that marketer." Other than that, it's likely that FB is autoflagging all of your link posts. Make a separate info section for it or something.

Music Fan Page

Acceptable offer posts:

  • Bands
  • Music
  • Guitars and musical equipment
  • Cool clothes, especially if it has something band-related in the description
Shit I'll flag:

  • Mortgage Refi BS
  • Make Money Now!
  • Get free money to go back to college!

Dude, dont fuckin flag peoples shit. Let them try and make their money. It may be ignorant how they go about trying to make the money, but don't go flagging them like other douchebags do. The flag button is a JOKE to me and so is anyone who uses it.

This is the only way to control spam on such a large network. Facebook will hardly ever remove a post manually, it's all based on reports, remove rates and automatic filters.

Now it's also possible to unlike a page directly from a post. Such posts get killed very fast, which is good for legit pages, because you will just lose more fans if you've posted something that your fans simply dislike.

Exactly, I've unliked so many things because the page owner posted something that was completely unrelated to what I had liked. People can think I'm a douche all they want, but when a page I love is getting peppered 20+ times a day with spam offers, it's time to take out the trash.

I'm not against FB marketing, but don't be stupid about spamming. Manual posting and customizing will make you much more money than crappy auto-posts to the Top X pages.

The best way to market on pages IMO is to simply ask the page owner if they will make a news post about XYZ product or your website. Pick a product that is related. Most will do it for free and more people will check it out. It also will not get flagged.

Even if it is something like an Aff post for an Amazon book, or an ebook, if it's related I won't flag it.
