Can I install plugins in wordpress.com?

I'm trying to do ifttt using wordpress.com but I cannot.

Im trying to conect gravatar into wordpress.com but thats the error:

Failed to locate XML-RPC API

Something went wrong when trying to locate the XML-RPC API on your blog. Please log into your WordPress admin panel, then go to Settings > Writing > Remote Publishing and check the box next to 'Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols.'

I was trying to install the plugin Manage XML-RPC because in settings and writting does not appear any option about XML

Ok its not possible in wordpress.com

So should I stop thinking in wordpress for doing ifttt rings?

Yea it possible and doable. What you need is big money.

Below step to install plugin on wordpress.com

1. Buy wordpress.com
2. Upload your plugins and activate it.
3. Congratulations. Your plugin has been installed.

Don't register a site with Wordpress.com, their rates are horrendous.
Look into cheap wordpress hosting or even just cheap website hosting and you will find plenty of plans with cpanel enabled for much lower.
