Install control panel on VPS

They were having a lot of security issues for a while, have they got everything fixed up?
I would go all the way for VestaCP, easy to setup, no restrictions, sleek and fast. It is certainly the goto free panel. And it is easy to setup. Mostly we install it on our VPS'es and it works like a breeze.
Offcourse if you are used to Cpanel or even Directadmin, you have to get used to it, but otherwise nothing difficult to it, and a lot less clutter and setting then Cpanel !!

Like others have already said, zPanel is the best of the free control panel options. I would recommend staying away from the free options though, because generally they are not as feature rich and don't have the support that the paid options offer. If you're not a fan of cPanel, I would check out InterWorx. We offer it at Future Hosting, the hosting company I work for, and people really seem to love it.

Try Webuzo - it is really easy to install (2-3 commands in the console), I've tested it 1 year ago on a 512MB OVZ VPS, total RAM consumption was around 60-80MB (panel+nginx, php, mail, dns). The only downside is that the script installer doesn't include Joomla and WordPress, so you have to download them from the official websites, unpack the archives and upload the files manually (but it is a 5min job anyways). My guess is that they just don't want to mess too much with the monopolist (CPanel) in the industry.

Probably not a good idea unless you want to get hacked. They have had many security issues over the past year and its scary.
I would recommend trying VirtualMin, not sure if its still free bit it use to be a great product.
