Install Alexa Tool Bar on BOT (phantomjs or casperjs)

Hi everybody,

Here is my problem:

I codded a bot using Javascript Headless Browser PhantomJS (and it's cousin CasperJS). Google it if you don't know them, their advantages over php curl / perl bots is that they load Javascript and images (that means they appear on GA and can do many more things on a website).

I am able to generate around 15k visits on any site a day.

I would like to also increase my alexa ranking with this bot.

As far as I read, your alexa ranking will improve if people using the alexa toolbar visit your site.

Is their any chance to install the toolbar on my headless browser ? I heard firefox / chrome extentions such as Alexa toolbar are pure javascript codes.

If I could grab the code I might be able to include it in my bot, when loading a page (and then send data to Alexa).

I think there was something like loadExtension or loadPlugin in casperjs config when you call casper.create().

That would be pretty sweet if you could get it to work

Yes I saw that, the only missing thing now if the JS code of alexatoolbar. Couldn't grab it with Chrome, I will check with Firefox.
I keep you posted if I make it !

Did you make it work? i am aslo working on something like this using xvfb and chrome headless browser
