Instagress only follows 12/hr despite higher settings

Hi All:

First of all thank you for a great forum.

Have a small, maybe slightly lame question:

I'm using Instagress, but even if I set the follow rate to 35/hr I end up only following around 12/hr. I don't have any filter setting explaining this.

I don't think the limitation is imposed by Instagram...

What could be the problem?

My account is more than one year old. Full bio completed incl. webpage. No spam, only original, quality photos by me.

Strangely enough, the follow rate was ok when I signed on to Instagress...

Possibly the filters you're using?
Myself, I set a high follow rate, but it doens't seem to be able to reach those rates even using relaxed filter settings. Disappointing really

This is exactly what is happening. Filter really lax, just excluding very popular accounts that are unlikely to follow back. I follow the users of a big account with 500K+ followers, follow rate set to max @ 40/Hr - but in reality the bot only follows 10-15/Hr. Not good!

Nope, that's not it. The 10 follows/hr is WHILE the bot is running.

I've sent a message to their support, will post their answer here.

Hm looks like a settings thing or maybe a bug but normally people are getting great results with Instagress. Love to hear what they say

These are just the generical tags supplied by Instagress. I'm not using them.

Just running the good ole' follow-unfollow + like method! Which seems to work quite well.

Just checked again. I reached 40 follows after exactly 3 Hr and 12 minutes despite setting rate to 40/Hr...

switch over to using tags, usually that's far more effective

regarding the slow pace instagress manages random sleep times for you and makes it appear random to IG (with MP you have more control over this) meaning its one less thing to worry about, that's why instagress is good for beginners.

I hope I'm not flogging a dead horse here, but it's not sleep time either. I've set the schedule to active/rest periods, and it's DURING the active periods the low follow rate occurs.

I get more than 30% follow back on the follows I do, not too bad I guess?

thats only solution i can think of..... but its a diffrent type of rest period that mappens in the hour per hour during active periods in order to randomize, that or you need to contact instagres and see what up

its pretty good but try mixing it up and see if you get better results also try commenting

Just to follow up on this one: I wrote back and forth with "Katie" from Instagress. A bit of a rude lady I have to say.

Only advise was to switch some or all of the filters.

So, bottom line, no solution.

This morning I altered the filter settings (should still allow for plenty of follows since I follow followers of huge 5M+ account) - results: 6 follows/Hr despite setting of 40/Hr. The moment I switch off the filter the speed bounces back.

I guess it is down to processor speed - if you set very specific criterias the Instagress bot has to trawl through a large ocean of profiles, and maybe they don't have enough CPU capacity on their servers to do that = speed drops.

Just my guess, though.

No, Katie is not really in the business of trying to understand the nature of a certain problem. Just shoots out lame canned answers.

But given the fact that I shoot out hundreds of lame, spun comments to complete strangers on IG every day I may not be the right person to blame her!! ;-)
