I just want to start this thread to test the hypothesis I have about Instagram and their ability to track people and consistently flag accounts, phones, wifi networks etc..
For the past 2 years I was trying to grow my personal photography account and of course I was hit with the engagement drop and a shadowban like everyone else here and after that all my efforts to create new accounts, have been unsuccessful as they seem to be shadowbanned from the very start.
Of course, the account did everything that was possible to trigger the instagram shadowban algorithm (f/u block, like block, mass planner, engagement groups, being inactive for extended periods of time, buying fake likes, buying fake followers, changing to business profile and back, linking facebook and unlinking it, and on and on ... ) . And even though I tried to clean all my ghost and fake folowers by banning them, engage with my audience, the engagement never comes back ( previously I had around 1k + likes with 5k followers now I have around 300-400).
But the real question I have is how extensive do you guys think instagram tracking abilities are? And did anyone else experience such things?
As to me it seems that even if I create an account on a completely new Ip, using a new phone, they somehow still manage to throttle new accounts and this got me thinking that they could be tracking everything including MAC addresses of routers, surrounding wifi networks, unique advertising Id's of phones, IMEI numbers and so on and so on..
