Instagram Wants to Remove Likes !!!

Hello, what do you guys think of the news? Instagram wants to make big change by not allowing public to see likes of posts, only the user can see his/her likes. Similar to Story views where only the poster can see it. Am not sure if we are allowed to post links here, just search The Verge Instagram Remove Likes in google to see the demo with pictures. I think this will not be optional but forced on all users.

Instagram wants to fight fake likes, follows, and comments by more actively removing them. Any fake likes and follows from accounts that use third-party services to get more engagement are going to now be removed for violating the platform’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Use, the company announced as part of policy change today.

I actually think it's a thing that should be an option, unless you're under 18 - then you have no choice. The world is becoming a breeding ground based on the off-chance to become an influencer by doing fucked up shit. That is what kids aspire to become. If there are no "Like" statistics publicly available then people can't be influenced by others likes and hates.

They are not fighting here, they basically want people to focus on the content posted and not the numbers behind the post. However, you can't dump the numbers as this was VERY MUCH part of why people like to show of on instagram. It is big gamble from Instagram and i think people will be very upset and it might become optional or totally cancelled.
