That's surprising.. perhaps outdated or totally off the mark, I say that as we completed 4 verifications for clients last week alone.
I've found Instagram to be by far the most responsive and fastest network to process verification requests, provided they're dealt with properly. Twitter on the other hand is a pain in the ass
On a side note - I have removed one post above. I see a lot of these social network verify threads pop up, followed by low post members attempting to sell this service outside the market place.
I know first hand how tough this is, and I've heard the horror stories countless times.

We do yes, it's not cheap and we are very selective on what accounts we push forward.

Indeed. I have been scraping data points of verified accounts via API on Twitter, looking for trends, for a while now.

Instagram is started to limit in verifying the accounts. It's very very selective process.
