Does anyone have some information on how instagram tracks the URLs?
For example we know that there is an limit on how many of the same domains you can have across multiple accounts.

However, is this the same for sub domains?
Maybe more specific: is there a difference between a domain with and/or with subdomain?

Also bit.ly linking for example has no benefit, instagram will track the destination url, since as far as I am aware, it acts like a 302 or 301 redirect.
Giving the idea they might use crawlers to track URLs.
Assuming this is the case, how far will these crawlers track an URL? A simple redirect I can understand, but what about sub domains, meta refreshes etc?

If someone can shed some light on this that'd be great.
Feel free to PM me if you don't want to discuss this publicly.

So far I have quite a bit of accounts running the same domain but with different sub domains, however, I am trying to find out if this is pure luck or that my setup is actually working.

So you are saying the links to domains like facebook.com or twitter.com would be limited, I doubt that.

Just as long as IG hasn't blacklisted your domain then you should be able to create as many subdomains as you want.

Personally I don't use subdomains but I do run about 1 domain per 3 accounts.

Haven't talked about facebook or twitter yet, talking about custom domains you might own.

Thanks for your input, what would blacklist a domain?
Certain words, phrases? Being displayed on too many accounts?

From my experience, I've only gotten a domain blacklisted when I got 2 accounts banned using the same domains.

Domain is a domain there are no custom domains. Facebook and twitter were examples to show you that there cannot be such domain based limitation. So your claim that there is limit how many times a domain can be used is false and doesn't make any sense. Your domain might get blacklisted for various reasons, but the reason is not that its linked from many profiles.

i dnt think you should run intoany prblem unless you where banned on the doman ono ofil y actalry redirectng oe of dsto 1t youahoity domnaeshorit with it.ly tth hel al

Have you actually tried this? Because I have, and my results vary.

Try this, put up a wordpress site and install to different link clocking plugins. First take your site link and run it through a public link shorter. Then take the shortened link and place in one link cloaking plugin and then redirect it to a link in the other link clocker in the same site, and have that link go to your money site. I use pretty link pro.
