I don't think you can register a username if it is unavailable. The account was probably registered before but got banned or something in those lines.

There is so Many Provider claim they can Get you any username of Insta but the Thing is that user shouldnot be In use for Like 3 to 4 minimum .. Then Only can Claim.. if the user is Active and You wanna Have that username ! You cannot get that in any Condition

Yeah, I think your best bet would be to put a dash (one dash prefixed or suffixed doesn't look too bad in my opinion) or an extra letter somewhere. However, be on the lookout for your desired username and when you find it, contact the user requesting if you could use it.

I think the account got banned, try using a full stop or double any letter in the username (ll)

Hi! Apparently, this was a ban and you will not be able to use this name. but you have the opportunity to try to add a dash, a dot or something similar.
