The shopping season is almost here! Normally, traffic is high, so why is it so average this year? Am I the only one experiencing this? Or is there a problem with my US market positioning? Is everyone else experiencing this?

Many niches are seeing softer traffic this season because ad costs spiked early and competition pushed reach down, so a dip doesn’t necessarily mean your US market positioning is off.

Not just you. People are shopping differently now online first, slower decisions. Probably a wider trend, not your positioning.
 
I’m seeing the same thing — traffic feels softer than usual. Could be algorithm shifts or delayed holiday push. You’re not alone; lots of people reporting weaker US reach lately.
 
Currently, many people's sales have decreased. I think people simply have less money, as my clients' sales have also decreased. Inflation and the economy are challenging times.
 
market ain’t hot like before, even big pages seeing mid traffic. IG pushing reels ads heavy so organic gets choked. tune creatives for impulse hits, run micro-boosts to warm the pipe. nothing wrong with ur niche, it’s the platform mood.
 
Its good. You can combine your page with reels exposure aswell since that will get more reach. I would say, post reels and if they are preforming well, boost the post.
 
You are right. Everyone’s seeing lower traffic right now. The algorithm is slow and reach is weaker than usual. It’s not just you. Stay consistent push reels and the numbers should recover.

You’re not the only one. IG pushed a quiet algorithm update a few weeks back and a lot of pages saw inconsistent reach. Even accounts with strong niches are reporting weaker traffic this shopping season. It’s not just your market positioning.

Consumer spending has generally decreased this year. Based on past data, the period leading up to Black Friday is usually a peak time for consumption, but the market seems calmer than in previous years, at least less intense. I don't know if this is due to the overall environment.

Looking back at previous quarterly reports, consumer spending power has indeed weakened significantly this year. This poses a major challenge for businesses like ours, as there are many more new entrants than in previous years, leading to greater competition. Advertising costs have also become enormous.
 
You're probably not alone, many others are facing similar challenges due to the shift to mobile shopping, the increasing use of AI for product discovery, and the impact of social media on shopping habits.
 
It just feels quieter overall this season. I doubt its about your positioning something about the whole market feels slower than usual.
 
nah bro you’re not alone traffic feels softer this year for a lot of ppl even in the us market buyers are being picky n google’s updates messed with rankings too could be the economy or algo shifts just keep an eye on search console n compare year over year trends to be sure

Yeah, people are just buying slower markets more cautious overall.
 
Traffic tends to spike a bit closer to the actual sales period, so the shift could be more about buyer behavior than anything youre doing wrong.
 
IG traffic feels softer than usual lately — even with shopping season coming. A lot of pages in the US market are reporting lower reach and slower conversion right now.
Looks more like a platform-side fluctuation than a targeting problem. Engagement waves happen every year around this time before things pick up again.
If your numbers were fine before, I’d avoid big changes and just keep posting + testing small content variations. Usually it settles back once IG finishes whatever algo tests they’re running.
 
My traffic this year is not as high as expected. Maybe customers are scattered to other channels or the advertising is not optimized for the right market, so I need to review my approach strategy.
