Instagram still worth it?

Hello everyone!

A little back story, just because.

A couple of years ago I decided to quit my 9-5 job as I was fed up with not having any time to do things with my day and I was falling into the "ordinary life", I was only 18 at the time so could afford to do so. After quitting I came across this forum and after reading-trying-failing a few times I came across instagram and ended up with a nearly 60k tattoo/babe account. I made collectively £40 from shoutouts but it seemed like it wasnt going to get any better took about 9 months to grow to this, hand grown) so I admitted defeat and got my old job back.

Now im back, still at my job but with a vengeance to try again and succeed! I'm willing to invest some money into this providing it has a high chance of success. I abandoned my page for a year or so which I think I'm going to regret. Put a post up earlier and my engagement isn't completely dead but it's not the best.

Point of this post is just seeing if instagram is still good if so what do you guys suggest? If not I'm willing to change completely, any ideas? Thanks! Jordan

Better late than never. There's still a lot of money to be made from Instagram be it through Ecom or CPA or affiliate marketing or just plain old sponsored posts. Doesn't hurt to a have a big niched instagram account! Go for it.

Yeah I hope so as I've spend the majority of my time on Insta but with little to no success. Hoping to speak to a few people maybe in the same situation as me (knowledge of Insta but can't figure out a way to profit properly, unless it's just me ) maybe share some ideas and grow together! Instagram still works as one of the best’s apps to promote brands so far. The truth is you have to be constant with your content or posts of the account in order to get to be known again and not drop your audience. It also works if you start interacting with your followers by liking or commenting their posts. What you should not do is to leave the instagram account for too long, because the app will later penalized you.

Thank you for your reply, I know I shouldn't have left it but I guess I got annoyed with myself for not making any money from it. I assumed everyone apart from myself was making money so I thought I wasn't right for IM. But now I want to give it all I got but this time with money to invest. I also, as mentioned above, want to talk to people and share ideas

I think IG's fame has never dwindled, and when you build niche-specific IG accounts, and promote specific things for that niche, there's surely money to be made. But choosing the right thing to promote on IG can be tricky, as choosing something that does not convert too well, or not interesting or related to the group of followers, may be a waste of time. And some CPA are also picky, which I don't like. But if the account has a nice amount of followers, that should make things go easier when making some extra $ from the account.

Work for it. Instagram still works.

Consistency needs to happen with social networks such as IG, FB, Twitter, etc. I know people using IG with great success and they are the ones that are consistent.

I've kind of lagged a bit, myself, with IG and I need to work at it better see it's potential happen.
